Monterey Mechanical Co. has three executive managers, of which two are registered engineers in California. Our Chief Executive Officer, President, and Chief Financial Officer perform a variety of management duties necessary for the overall company success. Along with the Executive Officers, we have Division Managers who directly oversee the operations of our different divisions - General Engineering, Piping, Metal Fabrication, Equipment Installation and Industrial Maintenance.
 
Our core of Estimators and Engineers, including several California registered Civil and Mechanical Engineers, have a variety and combined education and experiences in mechanical and civil estimating, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, pipe detailing and equipment installation. They interface closely with our Project Managers through the setup phase of our projects.
 
In the heart of our construction projects you will find our Project Managers. They operate in our main office or at a jobsite from small to larger projects. With full responsibility for management and supervision, our Project Managers work closely with the Client, Project Superintendents and Key Trade Foremen.
 
Our company consists of an established team of over 20 Superintendents and Key Trade Foremen. Experienced and skilled in supervising our various trade activities for civil and mechanical work, their expertise includes earthwork, sheet piling, concrete structures, equipment installation, piping fabrication and installation, metal fabrication and installation, including system testing and startup. Our Foremen work directly with our Tradesmen.
 
We employ 200 to 400 skilled tradesmen depending on the need of our current projects. We are a union contractor with labor agreements with most of the general and specialty trades.

 

Monterey Mechanical Co.’s key to successful performance is control. We continuously monitor an inventory, equipment and labor. We keep a sharp eye on cash flow and cost forecasts.
 
Accounting
Our company maintains Sage Timberline Accounting. As fully integrated financial operations software, we utilize Timberline with one main objective, to give our managers a single-source control of facts and figures at every stage of every project.
 
Estimating
Sage Timberline Accounting software gives flexibility, speed and precision to our estimates, bids, and budgets. An innovative yet familiar spreadsheet is supported by fast takeoff tools such as comprehensive database and a variety of ways in analyzing and fine-tuning of our projects.
 
Project Control
For complete Project Control, our company maintains Primavera Contract Manager for detailed tracking of all project documents and comprehensive change management to promote communication with all our experienced team members regardless of location.
 
Scheduling
A clear choice for our Project Managers, our company maintains Primavera Project Planner for project scheduling controls. Primavera P6 is designed to handle and control with efficiency not only any highly sophisticated and multifaceted projects but as well as large-scale and complex projects.
