Contra Costa Metal Fab, a division of Monterey Mechanical Co. is located in the heart of Concord, CA. We serve the metal fabrication needs of greater Contra Costa County and surrounding areas. Our expertise and quality in the field of custom metal fabrication has given us a reputation with engineers and owners that can't be beat. We are well versed in all types of Hot Rolled, Stainless Steel, Nickel, Copper and other Corrosion Resistant Alloys.
We fabricate and install metalwork from 26 gauges up to and including 1" plate. Our mechanics are well trained in the close tolerance work required to build heavy metal fabrications. Our Industrial installations are performed with highly experienced mechanics, and we also offer laser alignment and precision installations. We have crews competent in the installation of FRP (thermopastic) ductwork. Our FRP installation includes everything from the fiberglass fans to stainless steel duct supports.

Pacific Metal Fabricators, a division of Monterey Mechanical Co., specializes in the fabrication of structural steel and miscellaneous metals for their commercial and industrial clients. PMF employs skilled craftsmen with experience in welding and fabricating steel structures and buildings, to include stainless steel and aluminum fabrication. To complement our skilled craftsmen, PMF has the capability to perform in-house detailing, working closely with project design teams to insure contract drawings are transferred to a working set of shop drawings. Each shop drawing is individually checked for accuracy, proper material classifications, feasibility of fabrication, feasibility of installation, along with special requirements of the contract drawings and specifications.
Quality performance is one of the cornerstones of PMF’s company culture, and is considered a personal responsibility of all employees. PMF maintains the American Institute of Steel Construction Certification for Fabricators of Steel Building Structures, which includes yearly audits from external Auditors who perform rigorous examinations to evaluate Pacific Metal Fabricator’s quality management system.

Industrial Metal Fabrication
Monterey Mechanical Co.'s industrial fabrication and installation capabilities are recognized for their excellence
in the industry.
We fabricate and install prototype and custom machinery for the food, pharmaceutical and process industries
from all types of materials including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, fiberglass and specialty materials
such as monel, copper, terne plated stainless, brass and PVC coated steel.
Our 10,000 square foot shop in Oakland California operates on the average with 35 full time skilled mechanics
and is tooled around our 12 foot x 1/2" plate shear, our 300 ton press brake and our 8 foot plate rolls. We offer
our customers the precision of two computer controlled plasma arc fabricating centers for the production
of metal parts. We fabricate parts from materials as thin as 20 thousandths to as thick as 2" plate.
In addition, we fabricate, assemble and install tanks, chutes, platforms, handrails, material conveying systems, industrial HVAC and any other fabrications required by our customers.
